How Tock reservations actually work

Tock began as a prepaid ticketing platform for tasting menus and still behaves like one. Its restaurants overwhelmingly release in monthly batches rather than nightly, and many sell tickets rather than take reservations. Everything below is measured across the 24 Tock restaurants SnagRes watches, not taken from Tock's own documentation.

What we measure on Tock

Does Tock have an alert feature?

Tock has no general waitlist equivalent. Some venues offer a notify list per experience. That is worth using and worth knowing the limits of: it covers one platform, so if the table you want is on one of the other three it does not apply at all. SnagRes watches all four. How the alert services compare.

Tock release schedules we have measured

Where this is incomplete

10 of the 24 Tock restaurants we track do not yet have a confirmed release schedule, and we would rather leave those blank than assume one. Everything here describes hard-to-book restaurants in two cities, which is not the same as describing Tock as a whole. How we measure this.
