Yes. Browsing the tracker is free, no account required. Free accounts (Google sign-in, no card) can star up to 2 restaurants and receive email alerts. SnagRes Plus ($9.99 per month or $49.99 per year) lets you watch up to 30 restaurants at once, texts you the exact time slots that just opened up, and extends the availability calendar from 14 to 30 days.
SnagRes tracks the most difficult-to-book restaurants in New York City (Carbone, Lilia, Le Bernardin, Cote, Don Angie, Torrisi, Semma, Tatiana, and 80+ others across Manhattan and Brooklyn) and San Francisco (Lazy Bear, Saison, Benu, Rich Table, Mister Jiu's, Nari, Frances, Nopa, and 60+ others). When a restaurant on your watchlist releases new dates on Resy, OpenTable, Tock, or SevenRooms, SnagRes detects it in real time and queues an alert email to you. Alerts are bundled: you get at most one email per hour (or per your chosen frequency: 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours), containing every release across your watched restaurants during that window. You can pick your frequency on the /account page.
Most Resy and OpenTable restaurants release new dates on a rolling window (they add tomorrow's date +30 days each night). Tock, common in SF fine dining, tends to drop full weeks of dates once a week on Wednesday or Friday mornings. The exact release pattern varies per restaurant. Resy, OpenTable, Tock, and SevenRooms are reservation platforms where the actual booking happens. SnagRes is a monitoring layer on top of all four that watches for changes and notifies you. None of those platforms offer waitlist alerts or per-restaurant push notifications for arbitrary users. SnagRes fills that gap by checking availability continuously so you don't have to.
Plus adds three things to a free account. First, the star cap goes from 2 restaurants to 30. Second, Plus alerts include the exact time slots that just opened (free alerts show only the dates). Third, the availability calendar extends from 14 days forward to the full 30 days.
Plus is $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year (which works out to about $4 a month). Both plans include the same features. Cancel any time from your Stripe customer portal linked in your account settings.
Yes. Each account has a unique share link (see /invite once signed in). Send it to a friend. When they sign up and star at least one restaurant, both of you unlock two weeks of SnagRes Plus. If your friend upgrades to Plus within 30 days of signing up, you get an extra month on top of the two weeks. The star reward is capped at six referrals lifetime (about 12 weeks); the upgrade bonus is not capped.
No. Free accounts get real alerts on up to 2 restaurants. The main difference for free vs Plus alerts is that free alerts show only the dates a restaurant released, while Plus alerts also list the exact time slots so you can pick 6:30pm vs 8:15pm without opening the site.
Sign in and go to the account page. Click "Manage payment method, invoices, or cancel." That opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel with two clicks. Your Plus access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
No, and that is deliberate. SnagRes alerts you the second a table opens; you book it yourself on whichever platform the restaurant uses (Resy, OpenTable, Tock, or SevenRooms). Auto-booking would violate those platforms' terms and can get your account banned, so SnagRes never logs into your accounts and never books on your behalf. The alert is timed so you can grab the table manually within seconds of a release.
NYC coverage skews toward Manhattan (West Village, Greenwich Village, East Village, Lower East Side, SoHo, Nolita, Chinatown, Tribeca, Flatiron, NoMad, Midtown, Theater District) and Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Park Slope, Fort Greene, Red Hook).
