What is realistically bookable

The three things that move the odds

Party size. Two and four behave differently at most restaurants, sometimes by tens of percentage points, and each restaurant page states which is easier at that specific room.
Time. Early and late seatings are consistently more available than the 7:30 everyone is competing for. At several restaurants we have never once recorded a 7:00 to 8:30 PM table opening.
Being told rather than checking. Cancellations do not follow a schedule, which is exactly why refreshing by hand does not work.

No. Participating restaurants open a separate Restaurant Week inventory that appears and disappears independently of their normal calendar. A restaurant can look fully booked on its regular listing while Restaurant Week tables are still available, and the reverse.

When do Restaurant Week tables get released?

On the programme's own announced date rather than the restaurant's usual rolling window, and the best tables go within the first hours. Because it is a separate inventory, the release does not follow the drop time the restaurant uses the rest of the year.
