SevenRooms powers reservations for a small but stubborn set of restaurants, and it is the platform diners most often overlook. If a restaurant is not on Resy, OpenTable, or Tock, there is a good chance it books through SevenRooms, usually through a widget on the restaurant's own website rather than a marketplace with its own app.
That is precisely why availability there goes unnoticed. There is no consumer app surfacing openings, no feed to browse, and often no waitlist. A table can sit open for an hour simply because nobody thought to look at that restaurant's website.
SevenRooms restaurants tend to publish shorter booking windows than OpenTable and to hold back inventory for walk-ins or direct calls. Availability appears in smaller quantities and less predictably, which makes the platform frustrating to check manually and well suited to being watched.
