On our 19 October 2026 reading, the River North rooms with the fewest open dates for two were Ciccio Mio (7%), Topolobampo (50%) and Gilt Bar (53%). The figure is the share of dates in each booking window that had a table for two anyone could book.
We track ten River North restaurants and have a clean measurement for nine. The one left out is Bavette's, which is closed for now and gets its own section below. The median of the rest had a table on 61% of its dates.

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf is closed through mid-November 2026, so there has been nothing to book while we have watched it. That will change when it reopens, and the rule is already set: 21 days ahead at 9 AM, on Resy, one new date each morning.
So the plan is about timing, not luck. Be signed in at the release with your date, time and party size chosen. The bar is the other door. Once it reopens, call and ask whether bar seats are held for walk-ins.

For both, the moves are the same. Be on Resy at the release, ask for four if you can, and take a late table. Tuesday was Ciccio Mio's best night, at 39% of checks.
Topolobampo read 50% for two on OpenTable, and 56% of its openings fell between 7:00 and 8:30 PM. Indienne read 61%, with 5:00 PM its most common opening. Omakase by Kanemaru read 57% for two and 47% for four, so book it as a pair.
