We track seven Santa Monica restaurants. At our 19 October 2026 reading, the tightest for a table of two were Muse (20%), Xuntos (67%) and Rustic Canyon (84%). Each figure is the share of dates in the room's booking window with a table anyone could book.
Santa Monica is one of the easiest places to book well in Los Angeles. Its rooms averaged 82% open, against 62% for the city, and four of them had a table on every date in their window. One room is the real challenge here, and it is Muse.
Los Angeles joined the tracker in late September 2026. These figures rest on a few weeks of checks, 411,627 of them across Santa Monica, so they are early and they will move.

It read 20% for two at our last reading, but 30% of its dates had a table open up at some point. Those are cancellations, and they are the main way in after release day. An alert on your nights is how you hear about one first.
The night and the hour both matter. Thursday showed a table on 44% of our checks and Sunday on 15%, and it has not shown one on Mondays or Tuesdays. Its most common opening is 9:30 PM, and 45% of what opens is at 9 PM or later. A late Thursday is the best ask.

Rustic Canyon read 84% for two, and one night stands out. Friday showed a table on 100% of our checks and Tuesday on 11%. If you want Tuesday, book early or set an alert. Any other night is easy. 40% of its openings fall between 7:00 and 8:30 PM.

So the plan here is short. Book Pasjoli, Cobi's, Cosetta or Crudo e Nudo when the date is fixed. Avoid Tuesday at Rustic Canyon. For Muse, be on Resy at its release, aim for a late Thursday, and let an alert catch the cancellations.
