Know the release rule and be there at the minute, then watch for cancellations. 13 of the LA rooms we track have a confirmed rule; the median window is 14 days and the most common release time is 9:00 AM Pacific. Each room's page shows its next release date and a live calendar.
New York, across the city. The median Los Angeles room we track had a table for two on 67% of its dates at the last check, against 35% in New York. The hardest LA rooms are as hard as anything in New York, but there are fewer of them.
72 rooms across Resy, Tock, OpenTable and SevenRooms, selected for sustained demand, critical standing and a calendar SnagRes can monitor reliably. The full list is on the Los Angeles tracker page.
SnagRes tracks 72 Los Angeles restaurants across Resy, Tock, OpenTable and SevenRooms. The list runs from Eastside counters and Melrose Hill wine bars to n/naka, Hayato, Sushi Kaneyoshi, Providence, Bestia and Osteria Mozza.
The city is more open than New York on paper. The median Los Angeles room we track had a table for two on 67% of its dates at the last check, against 35% in New York. The exceptions are the whole point: a short list of rooms with a fraction of New York's seats and the same number of people who want them. Those are the ones on this list.
Every room's page shows its live calendar, which nights are open at the last check, and the moment it releases, where we have confirmed one. The numbers on this page come from the same data and move with it.
13 of the Los Angeles rooms we track have a confirmed release rule, a time of day and a window. The most common release time here is 9:00 AM, and the median window is 14 days. 5 rooms release at 9 AM Pacific and 4 at 10 AM. Be on the booking page at the minute with the party size set, and take the first slot that works.
Once a night is on sale and gone, the only tables that come back are cancellations, one at a time, at any hour. Star the room here and you get a text the moment one appears, with the exact time. That is the part refreshing cannot do.
Release times are in Pacific time. A 10 AM LA release is 1 PM in New York.
Star two rooms: the one you want most and one that opens most weeks.
Los Angeles splits 53 on Resy, 12 on OpenTable, 5 on SevenRooms and 2 on Tock, so watching one platform's alerts misses part of the list. The tracked list is the rooms people fight for, not an objective ranking of every good restaurant in the city.
On Tock, sign in before the drop and decide whether you will accept a prepaid experience. On OpenTable, set the exact party size and time before the calendar opens. SevenRooms can route a cancellation through its own booking flow, so keep the venue page open instead of assuming every alert will finish on Resy.
n/naka and Hayato use Tock, where a table may be sold as a specific experience rather than a standard reservation.
Bavel, Providence, Bestia and Osteria Mozza use OpenTable. Sushi Kaneyoshi uses SevenRooms.
